- Opt for a community center or church for you reception, rather than a traditional baquet hall.
- When considering your bar options, choose a cash bar instead of an open bar.
- Buy your own alcohol.
- Keep the guest list small, and there will be less mouths to feed.
- Opt for a cocktail or dessert reception instead of a full meal or banquet.
- Limit the number of hors d'oeuvres. Opt for three to four self-serve hors d'oeuvres stations, rather than passed appetizers.
- Try to not choose beef tenderloin of seafood for entrees and your price margins will stay down.
