Many lodging
establishments, especially inns, hotels, and resorts, have wedding
planning professionals on staff that will assist with every aspect of
your plans once you reserve and pay a deposit for space at their
establishment. These destinations usually have banquet facilities that
can include a grand ballroom, outdoor garden site, elegant dining
room, or veranda that lend themselves nicely to wedding festivities. A
destination wedding is an especially viable option if your out-of-town
guests will need accommodations. Usually, a wedding destination
lodging establishment will offer a wedding package rate that can be
considerably lower than the standard room rate. And, often times the
package will include your wedding night deluxe or superior

Hiring a Professional
Wedding Consultant:
Hiring a professional
wedding consultant can oftentimes be the most hassle-free wedding
planning option. They can be an invaluable tool if they are familiar
with the location where you wish to get married. Many consultants are
experts at local events, but not as adept with destination weddings
which require a great deal of faxing, emailing, mailing of photos, and
coordinating the event without having ever been to the site. Some
consultants work on a commission basis where they receive compensation
from establishments for booking functions at their location. This can
result in their need to make a sale taking precedent over your wedding
plans. It is best to book a local consultant for a local wedding, and
a destination consultant at the location of your destination wedding.
